My Bio

Eric Stein, CFA, is a valued member of Foundation Wealth’s investment research team, contributing to ongoing due diligence, market analysis, and the development of portfolio strategies. As a Partner at EastBay, Eric acts as an outsourced Chief Investment Strategist for a select group of financial advisory firms, overseeing client investments, developing bespoke strategies, and managing client communications.

 

Before joining East Bay, Eric gained extensive experience at both large and small firms, including over seven years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. There, he worked in performance measurement, client service, risk analysis, and portfolio construction, covering a wide range of asset classes, investment vehicles, and client types. Eric also spent more than a decade at RSM U.S. Wealth Management, serving as Chief Investment Officer and providing strategic leadership for their national investment platform.

 

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University and became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2001. His expert commentary has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, and he frequently writes on topics related to asset allocation, manager due diligence, financial markets, and economic trends.

 

Outside of work, Eric enjoys traveling with his wife, Laura, and their two sons, Scott and Jack. He is also an avid cyclist and considers completing a Half-Ironman among his top athletic achievements.
